The reason for making the pulley so big is to reduce the air bubbles by reducing the rotation speed of the pump. Why do you want to do that? Because bubbles raise the water temperature!
Did you know you can avoid the water temperature going up if you reduce the rotation speed from 7,000 rpm to 6,000 rpm? Yeah, that’s the trick for racing!
